 REPORT ON THE MoU SIGNING CEREMONY WITH TRANSUN ENERGY SYSTEMS HELD ON 8/8/17

The MoU signing ceremony was started by 11.30 am on 8/8/17 at the Easwari Engineering College premises.  Dr.R.Shivakumar, Hon’ble chairman of SRM Group of Institutions, Ramapuram & Trichy Campus presided over the function. Registrar, Vice-Principal, Principal (EEC), Dean (Academics), Dean (Research), Registrar, Director General, Deputy Director of SRM group-Ramapuram campus participated in this event.

Dr.E.Kaliappan, HOD/EEE welcomed the gathering and delivered the highlights of the department.    Dr.K.Kalaiselvi, Prof. EEE Department gave a brief introduction about the CEO and General Manager of TRANSUN ENERGY SYSTEMS.

Next, the Registrar of SRM group of institutions-Ramapuram campus addressed the gathering and gave a valuable speech. Also, the director of Ramapuram and Trichy campuses addressed the fellow people and welcomed everyone.

Then, Honorable Principal of Easwari Engineering College, Dr.K.Kathiravan addressed the gathering and explored about the college’s tie-up with TRANSUN Energy Systems and their collaboration with the company to install the solar power plants in the college campus.

Then the CEO of TRANSUN ENERGY SYSTEMS presented and expressed his gratitude to be a part of meeting the needs of the college along with his company.

The Hon’ble Chairman of SRM groups-Ramapuram campus presented his views about the signing the MOU with TRANSUN and motivated the gathering to get involved in research in technological sides of Solar energy. He promised that he will extend his hands for the continuous efforts of the students and faculty members and also he added that he is expecting more and more proposals and projects to meet the public demands. He took an example of prevention of lake water evaporation by covering the water with solar panels and thus the power of nearly 100MW is generated and also water is being saved. He took this as an example and advised the gathering to get involved in more renewable energy development without polluting the environment.

Then the Hon’ble Chairman of SRM groups and CEO of TRANSUN ENERGY SYSTEMS togetherly signed the agreement for company’s collaboration with the college. The agreement was signed in presence of Vice-Principal (EEC), Dean (Research), Dean (Academics), Director, Deputy Director, HOD-EEE, faculty members and students of Easwari Engineering College. Finally, the meet was concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Mrs.A.Joseline Metilda, Associate Professor, EEE department.
