SEEE inauguration has conducted on the 18thof Sep 2018, Tuesday in TRP Auditorium, Easwari Engineering College. The inauguration started at 10.30 am, with the prayer song, continued by the welcome address. The honorable chief guest of the day was Mr. Justin Jagadeep Kumar, R&D Department, TANGEDGO. The welcome address was followed by welcoming the guest with a bouquet.
The Head of the Electrical and Electronics department addressed the gathering which was followed the Annual report on the SEEE chapter for the academic year 2017-18 were presented. The report followed by the Inauguration of the SEEE of the academic year 2018-2019. The office bearers were given their batches by the Chief Guest. This was followed by the Introduction of our Resource person of the day and concluded by the vote of thanks.
The first session of the function started at 10.30 am with a welcome address given by by Dr. E. Kaliappan Prof & Head EEE Dept followed by the introduction to office bearers of SEEE chapter given by Mrs.J.Lydia followed by introduction of guest by Mrs. K.A. Indu Sailaja and guest lecture is given by Mr. Justin Jagadeep Kumar. He briefly explained about the overall installation capacity of TNEB around 18,000 MW but still there is a shortage of power. This is due to the shortage of fossil fuels during rainy season and unrealizable renewable energy production through wind and solar. He encouraged the student community to start the research activities to find the smart way to increase the power generation. He also explained about various job opportunities in TNEB and way to secure a job in TNEB. Our Principal Dr.K.Kathiravan congratulated all the students for their excellent academic performance during academic year 2017-18 and encouraged the students to continue the same during forthcoming semesters. He also pinpoints the importance of EEE Department over the economy of our state and roles and responsibility of the students towards the betterment of economy of our country.The Vice President of SEEE gives the vote of thanks and the program concludes.
